I began Martial Arts Winter Quarter of 1996 / 1997 at Cleveland State University.

2.) Why did you begin training in the Martial Arts?

I always had a interest in Martial Arts. It was offered as a gym credit which allowed me an opporuntiy to experiment with various styles of Martial Arts.

3.) What does Martial Arts mean to you?

In my early years of training it meant having self discipline and respect for everyone. Anymore it means passing on the knowledge and ethics I have learned from my instructors.

4.) Under what Master(s) have you achieved your current Rank(s)?

GrandMaster Moo Hwan Kim.

5.) What specific Martial Arts have you trained in, and for how long?

Tae Kwon Do for 11 years while dabbling in Hap Ki Do and Judo. I've also studied Capoeira, Ninjitsu, and Jeet Kune Do for 2 years.

6.) What is your favorite Martial Art to train in and why?

Though Tae Kwon Do is the basis of my Martial Arts career, growing up on the wrestling mat pulled me toward the grappling styles like Hap Ki Do and Judo.

7.) What aspect of Martial Arts do you believe you excel in the most comfortably?

I feel I do best at one-steps, sparring, and teaching.

8.) When did you begin and how long have you been instructing?

I began teaching approximately 8 years ago at Cleveland State University.

9.) Why did you begin instructing, and why do you continue?

I began teaching because Master Kim instructed me to do so. I continue to teach because I enjoy it.

10.) What is your favorite Tae Kwon Do Technique and why?

My favorite technique would have to be the Wheel Kick. Does not matter if it is jumping, retreating, or just a regular spinning wheel. Though it is a difficult technique to excute, when connecting with your opponents face it is beautiful to watch their spit fly from their mouth.
